The Calendar of Events categories on wisdells.com have been restructured to better align with the search behavior of our visitors. The following solicitation has been revised to reflect those updated categories. For your event to be included, it must take place within the Wisconsin Dells/Lake Delton area or be located on site of an out-area WDVCB member business. A detailed description along with specific hours, activities and admission prices must be included with your submission. You may only select ONE category from the list below. Some events may be listed under additional categories, at the discretion of the WDVCB.
Weekly reoccurring events will be listed on the calendar of events page for 30 days. We ask that you revisit the solicitation form to submit your reoccurring events monthly.
Note: Please allow 48 hours for your event to be posted. Any event request submitted less than 48 hours from the event may not be posted to the calendar.
This category includes events that appeal more to local residents than visitors to the Wisconsin Dells area. The events must also be open to the general public. Some examples under this category are fundraising events, blood drives, brat sales, book sales, etc.
This category includes events that are held in the Downtown Dells River Arts District.
Festivals / Special Events
Two types of events are included in this category ~ festivals that occur on an annual or semi-annual basis; and activities that exist outside the normal course of business, which may be considered a festival on a smaller scale.
An event that occurs on an annual or semi-annual basis must have a full line-up of activities - enough to entertain guests for several hours over multiple days. Examples: Automotion, Wo-Zha-Wa Days, Dells On Tap Weekend, etc.
An event that exists outside of the normal course of business may be considered a festival on a smaller scale. Examples may include one-day events, open houses, trade shows or destination sidewalk sales (i.e. Downtown Dells Sidewalk Sales) - all must be open to the general public. Promotions, including reduced admission fees, will not be listed.
Minimum length of event - 3 hours.
This category includes events that happen around the following holidays: New Year’s Eve, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween and Christmas. The events must be open to the general public and must exist outside the normal course of business. Examples: Santa visits, Halloween parties, 4th of July fireworks, New Year’s parties, etc.
This category includes live bands & acoustic sets. Usually, events under this category are free to attend and feature local artists.
Live Shows / Entertainment
This category includes all live bands or one-time performances. Usually, live performances listed under this category require a fee to attend. Weekly entertainment will also be included. Minimum length of event - 2 hours.
This category includes events that may not fall under one of the above categories but still drive visitation. To be included under this category, the event must exist outside the normal course of business. Some examples of “other” events are sports tournaments, trade shows, DJ’s, themed parties, craft fairs or vendor markets.
